Delivery Model

At Netsoft, we manage the offshore process for our clients from concept to delivery and our Unified Program Management Office provides ongoing management services for the entire range of services and programs we design for our clients. Consisting of the executive management, project managers, key technical, HR, Systems and Solutions Consulting staff, the UPMO orchestrates the entire offshore design and development program at Netsoft and provides an overarching governance framework. From working closely with our clients onsite in designing and articulating their offshore strategy, to ensuring that established best practices and quality assurance measures are in place, and strictly adhered to.
Netsoft Delivery Model

Project Management
Our project management lifecycle combines guidelines established in the PMBOK ANSI Standard as well as ISO/CMM standards. Each stage in the project management lifecycle is marked by defined processes and deliverables.
Quality and Performance Guarantee
We follow rigorously defined software engineering, quality management and assurance processes modeled along IEEE standards and CMU-SEI CMM guidelines. This allows us to provide a consistently high level of service to our clients and ensure that the stated engagement objectives are met. Our performance and quality guarantee ensures our clients always receive the best we have to offer -
  • Project requirements are unequivocally understood and documented at every stage in the process

  • Standards relating to technical specifications, development methodologies and delivery/implementation are followed relentlessly

  • Testing methodologies and acceptance criteria are understood and followed

  • Documentation for the entire system written to agreed standards

  • Reporting criteria, within the project team and development group and client, are established

  • Client Sign-off at critical junctures is rigorously implemented

System Resourcing and Project Team
As a part of every engagement, Netsoft provides all necessary hardware and software infrastructure, necessary support systems as well as redundant fault-tolerance and disaster recovery processes for the solutions team. We provide application hosting services during the design and development process, and during the transition to Live status, as a standard, to allow easier transition of system infrastructure to production level.
Reusable Components
At Netsoft, we encourage reusability of software components and our teams constantly develop reusable components to assist in faster product development. All reusable components required for this engagement will be provided by Netsoft at no charge and within the scope of the project. Any components where licensing requirements may warrant a direct purchase by the client, the necessary approvals will be obtained before a technical architecture based on the said components is finalized.
Solution Development Team
Netsoft’s solution development team is structured to provide flexibility during project development as well as provide a project control environment for seamless escalation as and when required.
Project Control and Escalation Process
Netsoft’s offshore program management ensures that all projects keep to the original time and cost estimations to the maximum extent possible. Well-defined control systems ensure that each project exception is reported and escalated to the management for review and provides a direct mechanism for issue resolution to our clients.
Requirements and Change Management
Netsoft follows a rigorous requirement and change management process with the following applicable guidelines to turnkey assignments:
  • Since upstream changes are easier to implement, and can be taken care of at the architecture stage, it is advisable to suggest changes as early in the development cycle as possible.

  • A Change Roster will be maintained on our extranet site to track all requested changes to the specifications provided.

  • Not all changes have an impact on scope and an assessment is performed on each change request individually by a Change Control Board.

  • Effort required to fulfill the requirements of a change request is billed at US$20/hr for programming resources, and US$26/hr for project management resources.

  • If changes suggested on a particular milestone/deliverable, you can expect the changes to reflect in the next deliverable due. Due to project scheduling issues, we cannot address issues/changes in the active phase/milestone of the project.

Configuration Management
Netsoft’s configuration management guidelines are designed to manage system source code in a consistent, version-controlled repository. Comprising of Version, Change and Build Control activities, software configuration management activities ensure compliance with quality and documentation requirements for a project. Online access to the project configuration management database is available to key customers on our extranet site.

Managing Project Risk
Netsoft’s Risk Management Framework focuses on the following three core areas – Vulnerability Identification, Risk Assessment, and Management. Our approach focuses on identifying areas that require active risk management, developing metrics to quantify risks to the maximum possible extent, perform ongoing assessment and develop management approach for the identified risks.
